Going through the DiSC assessment as part of my leadership training at Everbloom with Cassie was an eye-opening experience. I’ve always had a general sense of my strengths and challenges, but this assessment gave me real clarity on how I naturally communicate, lead, and interact with others. My style is Si, which means I’m relationship-driven, people-focused, and thrive in supportive, team-oriented environments. But it also means I sometimes avoid conflict and struggle with prioritizing my own needs. Seeing these traits laid out so clearly helped me reflect on where I shine and where I need to push myself to grow. What surprised me the most was how much it helped me understand other people. It’s easy to take things personally when someone communicates differently than we do, but DiSC gave me a new perspective. Instead of being frustrated by differences, I now see them as opportunities to adjust my approach, listen better, and communicate more effectively. Most importantly, this process reinforced something I’ve been working on—giving myself grace. Understanding my natural tendencies has helped me be more intentional, more self-aware, and ultimately, more confident in both my leadership and personal growth.
